THE ARTIST
I’m Constance L. Earles, a Denver-based fine artist creating bold, spontaneous realism portraits infused with astrology, spirituality, and vibrant color. I was born in Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines, to my Filipino mother and African-American father, who served in the U.S. Air Force. My earliest memory of art was at five years old, when drawing became both my escape and my therapy during a chaotic childhood. From coloring books to drawing on walls, art was always the language I could trust.
By middle school, I was not only refining my skills but also selling drawings to classmates. My parents and grandmother encouraged me with private art lessons, and in 1996, my freshman year of high school, I won the Congressional Artistic Competition, which gave me the opportunity to see my artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol for a year.
Life took a different path when I became a young mother, and for a time, I put my art aside to raise my two children. At 30, I found my way back, supported by the mentorship of International Artist Darrell Anderson, who reminded me of the importance of honoring my gift. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to painting portraits that go beyond likeness — works that merge sacred geometry, zodiac influences, and color palettes inspired by astrology to capture vitality, energy, and soul.
My portraits are more than images; they are stories told in color, symbol, and spirit. Whether I’m painting cultural icons, mythological figures, or animals, I want each piece to radiate presence, invite reflection, and connect viewers to something deeper within themselves. My art is my way of turning color into spirit, and spirit into connection.
